Solar display for Fronius inverters
Solar large displays from Solarfox can call up the data directly from the Fronius Solar.web portal, making it completely independent of the location of the photovoltaic system.
For the use of a photovoltaic display to illustrate energy data, only an Internet connection is required on site. The system is thus compatible with any photovoltaic system with inverters or components from Fronius, the only requirement being an Internet connection via LAN or WLAN. This has the advantage that you do not need any direct cabling between the inverter or monitoring components and the large solar displays. This gives you maximum flexibility to select any location for the solar display installation.
Visualisation of memory and energy self-sufficiency
NEW: In the meantime it is also possible to visualise own consumption or storage systems on Solarfox displays. Data is retrieved via a new interface to the Fronius portal. Please contact Solarfox support if you want to use this option.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE FRONIUS INTERFACE
A subscription service was recently introduced for the connection to the Fronius Solar.Web portal. Please click here to find out more information on this. (MORE)
Communication between Fronius portal and Solarfox display
- The photovoltaic system generates direct current.
- The inverter converts the solar energy into alternating current (solar power).
- The yielded information is transmitted directly from the inverter or monitoring component (e.g. Symo inverter) to the Internet. (Of course you can also use a data logger, e.g. from Solar-log or Meteocontrol.)
- After a Solarfox online account has been created, our web server accesses the data in the Fronius Solar.web portal and generates a slideshow that you can configure individually via web browser.
- The Solarfox® display retrieves the data from the web server via the Internet and displays the data in an attractive visual slideshow. To do this, the solar display only needs to retrieve data via the Internet through port 80.
The following Fronius products are compatible
Compatible components:
- Fronius Symo (All WR)
- Data Logger Web
- Fronius Data Manager 2.0
- Numerous other components for system monitoring
Of course, you can also connect a Solar-Log data logger to your inverter. In this case, the data is retrieved from the Solar-Log portal or an FTP server.
The following data can be displayed if the data is available in the Solar.web portal:
- Visualisation of performance and yield
- Display of power consumption / internal consumption
- Further data on request
It does not matter how large your system is or how high the nominal output (kWp) of the system is. Solarfox does not charge any monthly or annual fees.
COSTS FOR THE FRONIUS INTERFACE
Fronius provides plant operators with various systems for plant monitoring (PV monitoring). The system data is transmitted to the Fronius Solar.Web Portal. Special web-based data interfaces are required so that this data can be accessed by third-party systems such as SOLARFOX®. This means that there is server-based communication between SOLARFOX® and Fronius in which the required raw data is transmitted automatically. Fronius has introduced a new chargeable interface for this data retrieval. In order to ensure the simplest and most user-friendly process possible for system operators and installers, SOLARFOX® covers the connection of the system and the billing in one process.

Fronius Solar.web and combination with other systems and inverters
A Solarfox display is the ideal supplement to the system monitoring by Fronius Solar.web. It is also compatible with numerous other solar monitoring systems and data loggers such as Solarlog, Meteocontrol, Kaco Powador, etc. It can display several systems simultaneously on a single display from different manufacturers.
